How Information Is Handled

This policy explains the information that may be processed when you visit disksifter.com or send an educational enquiry.

Last updated: October 17, 2026

Website identity

DiskSifter is an independent educational brand providing Windows disk space and file organization information at https://disksifter.com.

Information you provide

If you use the contact form, you provide a full name, email address, learning topic, message, and optionally a Windows version. Please do not include passwords, product keys, payment information, confidential documents, or unnecessary sensitive personal information.

How enquiry information is used

Submitted information is used to receive, evaluate, and respond to your educational enquiry; prevent form abuse; maintain appropriate correspondence records; and address legal or security concerns. A submission does not create an account or booking.

Email delivery

When the contact form is available, enquiry content is sent to a designated mailbox using the website server’s mail transport. Information may therefore be processed by the website host, sending mail infrastructure, and receiving email provider.

Technical and server information

The website host and network infrastructure may record standard technical information such as IP address, request time, requested URL, response status, user-agent information, and security events. These logs support delivery, reliability, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. DiskSifter does not add analytics or advertising trackers in this implementation.

Service providers and disclosure

Information may be handled by providers necessary to host the website, operate network security, and deliver email. It may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or systems, investigate abuse, or complete a business transition. DiskSifter does not claim that personal information is never shared.

Data retention

Enquiry correspondence and technical records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for their purposes, operational requirements, dispute handling, security, or legal obligations. Exact periods can vary with the record and the configured providers; this policy does not invent a fixed schedule.

Security

The contact endpoint uses server-side field validation, request-size limits, origin checks where the browser supplies origin information, and a hidden anti-abuse field. Hosting and email providers apply their own infrastructure controls. No internet or email transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and privacy enquiries

You may choose not to submit the contact form. Use the Contact page to ask about information associated with your enquiry or raise a privacy concern. Applicable rights may vary by location and circumstances.

Policy changes

This policy may be updated when website practices, providers, or legal requirements change. The date above will identify the current published version.
